Dario
Lombardo è uno dei principali musicisti del Blues
italiano. Chitarrista, cantante ed autore è attivo
professionalmente dal 1979. Ha fatto parte di gruppi come
i Mean Mistreater Chicago Blues Band, i Blues Shakers ed
i Model T Boogie. Dal 1989 guida la Blues Gang.
Dal
1987 lavora con Phil Guy, e negli anni ha collaborato con
molti altri Bluesmen statunitensi, come Johnny Copeland,
Luther Allison, Albert Collins.
I suoi concerti l’ hanno portato ad esibirsi in molti
stati europei, principalmente Spagna, Francia e Svizzera,
e negli Stati Uniti. Nel maggio 2007 è stato probabilmente
il primo musicista Blues italiano ad esibirsi ufficialmente
in Africa, a Melilla.
La
sua discografia comprende due lavori con i Model T Boogie
(rispettivamente del 1986 e 1989), uno con Phil Guy (Working
Together, 1999) e due con la Blues Gang (I don’ t
want to lose, 1998 e Searchin for gold, 2003). Suoi brani
son stati inclusi in antologie e compilations, ultima delle
quali in ordine di tempo è Rack of Blues# 1, del
2006, edita dalla prestigiosa rivista americana Big City
Rhythm&Blues.
Lonesome
Blues (2007) è il primo video ufficiale per una Blues
band italiana, e la sua colonna sonora è parte del
cd Searchin for gold.

Dario
Lombardo is one of the most representative musicians in
the Italian Blues scene. He is a guitar player, a singer
and he writes his own songs. He is professionally working
since 1979.
Dario
Lombardo has been part of well known Italian bands such
as Mean Mistreater Chicago Blues Band, Blues Shakers and
Model T Boogie. He leads the Blues Gang since 1989. He started
working with Phil Guy in 1987, and his roster is filled
with many other cooperations (Johnny Copeland, Luther Allison,
Albert Collins among others).
He has played all around Europe (France, Spain and Switzerland
mainly) and he has visited many times US, playing in Illinois,
Iowa, Indiana and New York. In May, 2007, he has probably
been the first Italian blues musician to play in Africa,
with a series of shows in Melilla. On June 7th, 2007, he
has played the Chicago Blues Fest as part of Phil Guy' s
Chicago Machine.

Lombardo' s discography includes two LP with Model T Boogie
(edited in 1986 and 1989), one CD with Phil Guy (Working
Together, 1999) and two with The Blues Gang (I don' t want
2 lose, 1998, and Searchin for Gold, 2003). Many of his
songs are included into compilations, last to be published
has been Rack of Blues (2006), edited by the well known
American Blues Magazine Big City Rhythm & Blues.
Lonesome Blues (2007), is the first official video for an
Italian Blues band, using as soundtrack songs taken from
Searchin for Gold.
